  1. yep Chinese is 1 that you will use a lot

  2. You wouldn't need a second language to work in Australia as English is the only de facto language here. Although Chinese, indonesian, japanese, taiwanese, korean would all be useful depending on what kind of business you would operate.

It is not a prioity to gain a second language to work in Australia as 99.99% of people speak english here, but as I said earlier it depends on the business. Learning chinese would be useful is your business is dealing with the Chinese, same goes for Indonesians.

This is because of Australia's geographic location, it is very close to countries with a majority Asian language and if you have to deal with these countries, having to speak their language as many of them speak our language is almost inevitable.

A European language would also be useful because of our cultural links, I would suggest French.

As I said before it is not crucial for you to learn a second language but it no doubt would give you an advantage.

  3. Indonesian is pretty popular these days too. Or if you want to keep with European languages, I'd stick with French as they still speak it in many parts of southeast Asia.

  4. Mandarin (Chinese), Japanese, Korean.  Next lot are Indonesian/Malay, Spanish, German, French.

  5. Japanese or Indonesian. Chinese is also beneficial.

  6. I would guess at Chinese and or Japenese.
