  1. Basically, it used to be, computers were nothing but text in what was called DOS. You had to interact with your computer using text alone. Then, they designed what was called a "graphical user interface", which we now know as windows. So, rather than having to use a line of text to get into programs like games and stuff, all programs were represented by icons which you could click on with a mouse to open.


  2. User Interface is the ways in which the product is designed to interact with the user in terms of text menus, checkboxes, clickable images, drag-and-drop approaches.
