  1. A vegetarian does not eat meat, but will eat animal products like sour cream, milk, cheese, honey, etc. Vegans will not eat any animals or their products. They are not the same.

  2. A vegetarian is someone who never eats meats like pork, chicken, beef, ham, etc.  A vegan is someone who doesn't eat anything animal like milk (Because it comes from a cow, which is an animal).  They are like vegetarians, but they are extra picky about anything that comes from animals.  I hope this helps.

  3. A vegetarian does not eat any meat, but still eats eggs, cheese, and drinks milk.

A vegan does not eat any meat, and does not eat eggs, cheese, or drink milk.

  4. vegans dont eat dairy products or animals only fruit vegaterians dont eat animals

  5. vegans dont eat eggs vegetarians do

  6. Vegetarians don't eat meat, and vegans avoid ALL animal products (dairy, meats, leather, eggs, etc.)

  7. A vegan doesn't eat anything that is even from an animal- including milk.  They are completely animal-free.  This includes clothes made from leather or other animal furs.  Vegetarians can be more flexible- some eat fish only, some eat chicken, and many eat eggs and dairy.  I think you can tweak your diet to your lifestyle.  But vegans definitely have a strict diet to follow.  I was thinking about not eating meat, but I never actually went through with it.

  8. Vegan and Vegetarians are VERY different.

Vegetarians Do not eat Meat. That's just about it.

Vegans are the proper version of Vegetarians which don't eat anything involving living animals. Here are a few examples: Vegans don't drink milk, They don't eat cheese, they don't eat eggs.

Vegan's only eat from earthly resources pretty much. nothing from a living animal.

  9. Vegans exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose like wearing fur coats or eating eggs.

    Vegetarians just don't eat meat.

  10. Vegetarians don't eat ya know like just standard meat, but are allowed to eat like eggs and sh*t, Vegans can't eat anything barely touched with animals.

  11. Typically a vegetarian doesn't eat meat. They do eat animal products though. Like cheese, milk, eggs... things that don't harm the animal itself.

A vegan eats only plant products. No meat, no cheese, no egges, no milk.

  12. Vegans and vegetarians are not the same.

A vegetarian abstains from eating meats, but most usually allow dairy and eggs into their diets.

Vegans will not consume anything that has animal products in it. No meat, milk, eggs, cheese, gelatin(made from rendered pork tendons), bleached flour or sugar, and many other things. Most also abstain from wearing clothing made from animal products like leather or wool.

  13. No, they aren't. Vegans stay away from animal products as well as animal by-products. Most vegetarians just don't eat meat.

A lot more vegans than vegetarians have a lot more morals when it comes to animals and things of the sort.

  14. Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish or fowl. A vegan does not eat those things, as well as any animal derived product- including dairy, eggs, gelatin and milk proteins. A good rule of thumb is to see if a food contains cholesterol- if it does, it contains animal products and is not vegan.

PETA has a much more in depth list of non-vegan additives, but those are the basics. Both vegetarians and vegans tend to avoid using animal derived products such as leather, wool, or cosmetics tested on animals.

  15. Vegans do not eat meat, or anything that comes from an animal. (egg, milk etc.)  Vegetarians do not eat meat but do consume products that come from animals.

Anyway, this is the whole vegetarianism thing:

  18. What everyone else said, but FYI a lot of times non-meat animal by-products will still contain bits of animals killed specifically for the food. Sour cream especially you have to watch out for, it can contain animal parts like crushed bone.

  19. Vegetarianism: is the practice of a diet that excludes all meat, including poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustacean, and slaughter by-products. Vegan-ism: is a diet and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind. The most common reasons for becoming a vegan are ethical commitment or moral convictions concerning animal rights, the environment, human health, and spiritual or religious concerns. Of particular concern are the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources required for animal farming.
