Not a credit card. Its money you pay to get permission to enter another country.

A visa is an invitation to visit another country, and your activities there are limited to the type of visa you have been given.  It tells the passport control officer that based on an application and/or personal interview, a representative of the country has determined that you qualify for that benefit.

The passport control officers ultimately decide if you can enter the country or not, but the visa tells them that you appear to be good to go.  It does not guarantee entry though.

then you may enter that country with the visa in your passport.

there is always a fee for visa application,in order to process your visa .
