What is a waiver order?

On ESPN's Fantasy Football what is a waiver order? This is my first time ever doing Fantasy Football plz give me a good answer.

when someone drops a player they are put on a waiver....

the waiver order is the order in which team owners can pick up that player....

so say you are 5th in waiver order....

that means that if anyone that is higher than you in the order wants to pick up that player they get him.....

basically whatever spot you are in the waiver order, if you want to pick up a player off a waiver you cannot get him unless the people before you dont.... and the people behind you cannot get that player if anyone above them picks up that player....
