What is a why i can get rid of scratches on my Cd's besides toothpaste and Windex?

  1. we use alcahol you buy at the drug store.

    and cotton swabs


  2. I regularly use a polymer/silicon type car polish. It works a treat. If the scratches are really bad then I use a cut and polish type car polish then finish it off with the silicon polish.

    Just bare in mind that not all cd's can be resurrected. It took me a while to learn that if I treated them better in the first place I wouldn't need to get a sore finger polishing out the scratches.

  3. I would never recommend any of the "home remedies" which can actually make the scratches worse. You are better off buying a formula specifically made for plastics such as Novus plastic cleaner and polish. ( www.novuspolish.com )

  4. brass cleaner, I have turned unplayable disc into working just fine in a hour or so.
