  1. sphynx

    crypt

There are other words that use a "y" as the vowel sound. There are also some Welsh and Gaelic words like "ebbw" pronounced Ebby that don't use vowels.

  2. rhythm

    Gypsy

    crwth

  3. try, cry, pry..... and so on

  4. never really thought of that... seems almost like no word i always use a vowel in every word.

  5. What English Words Have No Vowels?

Hymn, rhythm, myth, sylph, and syzygy (the alignment of three celestial objects).

Cry, by, sky, why, wry, spy, gym, crypt, hymn, lynx, glyph, tryst, nymph, Gypsy, pygmy, flyby.

Then there are the plural words like hymns and rhythms.

  6. lynx is one, but the y functions as a vowel.

And Welsh has lots of them!

  7. Eh uses the vowel "E"

    Psst!

    Psych

    Cyst
