What is about the average price at an animal shelter?

I want to get a guinea pig, and i want it to be from an animal shelter. What is the average price to adopt one??????

It depends on the shelter/rescue.  I've paid as little as $5 and as much as $30.  The $20-30 range is typical in the city I live in.

Go to www.petfinder.com   A lot of the rescues on that site will tell the adoption price on the page featuring the animal you are interested in.

The price can really quite vary depending on where the animal shelter is. If it is more in a bigger city the prices are mostly higher and if it is more out in smaller cities the prices are lower. But for a guinea pig i don't think it would vary that much. I would guess between 20-30 dollars. Good luck
