    This describes what it is, but it may not help because I am not sure in what context you are looking for a definition...I see you put it in the green living category but I don't know how it is applied in green living.

  3. it is the minimum energy to get a reaction to move in one direction, either forward or backward.  This energy is is lost unless you stop the reaction and the whole system stops.

    SO, its not a renewable or free energy.
