An advertising campaign is a series of messages that promote an idea, or product, or business.  Typically an advertising campaign is launched over a period of time and often use more than one media.  Campaigns are built with measurement devices (to measure success or failure).  For example, an ad campaign for jeans would be launched via television, radio, magazines, billboards and buses.  Measurement devices might include sales during the ad campaign period; television views; # of cars that drive past the billboards; the bus route population; etc.
