  1. not sure, but i think the 16 age limit is only for gymnastics because of advantages with a younger body , and i think there is no limit as long as you can compete

  2. 16 is the minimium and there isnt a maximum as long as u qualify ur in

  3. I don't know about a maximum age butI'mm pretty sure the minimum is 16 buy the  end of this year, so they would have to be born in at least 1992 for the olympics this year.

  4. 16 is the youngest.

But apparently for China, it's 13.

  5. It actually depends on what event you're in.

Some sports have lower ages than others.

For gymnastics, it's 16 years, but for swimming, it's lower.

  6. 16 for the youngest and anything higher is ok. Although I'm pretty sure if you're 71, they won't let you compete. xD

  7. Minmium is they have to be 16 of the olympic year. as far as oldest I am not sure. Torres who is a womans swimmer this year is 41

  8. The maximum age is not set, if you can get through the qualifying rounds and get chosen to go to the Olympics, then you go, regardless if you are 25, 35 or 45.  Now the youngest you can be?  I know there was controversy regarding the Chinese female gymnasts, having to be a minimum age of 16 and it being felt that they were much younger than that.  But I don't know if that is the rule across the board or not.

  9. The minimum age varies by sport.  For women's gymnastics, you have to be at least 16 in the year of the Olympics in order to participate.  There is a 12 year old swimmer from Camaroon and some 14 year old divers.  Age rules at the Olympics are set by the federations that run the sports, and many don’t have any limits.

    There is no maximum age.
