What is alcudia in mallorca like?

ive booked an holiday to mallorca sometime next year and have 2 young children has any one been or know this place well what things are there to do what trips and also do they do trips to other side of the island many thanks

been twice to Alcudia, great family resort. Beautiful beach great bars and restaurants,Trips to anywhere you want.You'l love it.

I think it is quite family orientated, but I'll let you know what there is to do over there.

I have been several times before and going in 2 weeks, My partner and I are older than you but I have been there when my daughter was young and since then she has had her children there for a holiday, it is a family resort and not recommended for teenagers, there is the usual pubs and karaokes, I am not sure on the excursions as I never bothered about them, I presume they do trips to Palma but after you have been 2 hours on the coach from the airport you wont really want to go back, I know the trips are expensive but you will be given all the details at the welcoming party. Peurto Pollensa is a taxi ride away but not worth going to.
