What is amnesty?

If you have done jail time for tickets, and was released and your request forms was sent to records(KITE) and I was told there were nothing in Amnesty and there were no warrants:

Then why when you go to reenstate your license you were told you have warrants in amnesty??please Help A.S.A.P thanks

  1. The amnesty time period allows citizens with outstanding warrants to dodge paying a warrant fee if fines are paid in full.

    If you have a warrant out for not paying your tickets, there is a fee normally attached on top of the regular fines and state fees required.

    After the amnesty period, a warrant roundup will occur.  Local law enforcement officials will arrest citizens who have not paid their fines.

    If records said you don't have any warrants, get a letter from them and take it to licensing.
