  1. The instruction manual should tell you how to charge the battery but anyway

    most AC adaptors are rounded are have a pronged end on them, samsung cameras will have a socket or a flap covering a socket that the AC adaptor goes into

    explanation of an AC adaptor

    AC=Alternating current

    DC=Direct Current

    The most common example of AC is mains electric, An AC Adaptor converts mains electric which is either mostly

    UK/Europe=240V 50Hz(frequency that it alternates per second)

    US/Other countires=110V 60Hz(frequency that it alternates per second)

    An AC Adaptor using electrical components inside it with special properties normally lower the voltage and change the current from alternating to a direct current

    Alternating current is switching from one direction to another in a waveform called a sine wave you should learn this in physics at school, direct current is always one direction with no waveform

  2. the ac adapter is what you use to plug your camera into a house 110 outlet. In other words, plugs into any home electrical wall outlet.

  3. AC adapter will convert the AC mains so that it will charge your camera (which runs on DC)

  4. an ac (aternating current) adapter is a charger or power lead thats current is not a direct voltage. but i dont understand your question... i guess you plug it in to the camera to charge the battery

  5. Definition of: power adapter

    An external power supply for laptop computers and just about every portable or semi-portable electronic device on the market. Also called an "AC adapter," it contains a rectifier to convert AC current to DC and a transformer to convert voltage from 120 down to 9, 12, 15 or whatever is required. If a power adapter is not used with an electronic device, the power supply that creates the DC current is inside the unit. See transformer and power supply.
