What is an A. Ferrari painting (born 1942) worth?

I have a landscape painting by A. Ferrari. Artist born in 1942 Cantu, Como Italy? The painting is signed. I can't find any information on the artist or what his pictures are worth? Can anyone help with how much a painting by this artist would be worth?

Well if you cannot find any info at all about the artist (neither could I), he or she is probably unknown, or perhaps only locally known in a small town or area in Italy.  If that is the case, the paintings are not likely to be worth more than a few hundred dollars (American).

But to be certain, you'd have to have it appraised by an art appraiser.  Problem is, that could easily cost more than the paintings are worth.  But if you want to find out for sure, you could contact an art museum near you.  They sometimes have lists of trustworthy art appraisers.
