  4. The rest of Emmie's answer can be found here:

  5. A person of high standing.

Aristocracy is a hereditary form of government, where rule is established through an internal struggle over who has the most status and influence over society and internal relations. Power is maintained by an hereditary elite, from a caste, class, family, dynasty or even some individuals.

  6. It's a resturant in Manila

  7. Somebody who is wealthy or powerful, it is sometimes used in America in that way, possibly Donald Trump could be called an aristocrat, I don't know. Or the Kennedy family, due to wealth and fame is called "Aristocratic" or the Bush family.

In countries with royalty, like England it is somebody who is sort of royalty, but not very high up from what I understand. Princess Diana was called an aristocrat, she was the daughter of an Earl, but was considered a commoner in Britain. To Americans she might have been seen as royalty before her marriage to Charles, but in Britain she was not. So I think it is somebody who had royalty in their ancestry maybe hundreds of years ago. Some people in Britain are given titles when they are not royalty. Like "Sir ELton John" or Sir Paul McCartney.

  8. An aristocrat is a person who's ancestors got on well, did well in battle and got noted by some medieval king or other and were given a title in recognition of service etc.
