  1. A single use device which uses explosives to compress conductors carrying a magnetic field. The rapid movement and concentration (compression) of the magnetice field associated in the wires creates a large induced trainsient.

    Its basically a non nuclear way to generate an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) and would have applictions in ECM (Electronic Counter Measures) or Electronic Warfare.
