What is an IP address?

I want to play Flight Simulator 2004 on multilayer, but i need an IP address to find the servers. HELP GAMERS!

An IP address is a unique series of numbers given to each computer or router connected to the internet or a private network. It is the most common method of network data transfer used in modern (and most not-so-modern) programs.

If it is asking for an IP, you will have to find the IP of a multiplayer server. I am not sure of how to do that off hand. However, most games, if they are meant for wide-spread internet games/use have a dedicated server set up by the program's manufacturer. Most programs only ask for the IPs if you are trying to connect to a private server. I am not sure if Flight Sim 2004 has a dedicated server made by microsoft or not.... if it does, make sure you are going to the correct multiplayer menus (and not trying to connect to a LAN game) and also make sure your firewall/router isn't blocking that game. I cannot give you specifics, as I am not familiar with the sim. However, try going to the program's website and see if you can get any info from that.

IP mean internet protocol .. it is used by application to connect to another application on other system i think ...

in your case , FS2004 , your computer is connecting to game server for multiplayer ....

and as a matter of IP for FS2004 .. with googling you can find it .. there are many FS2004 forums available on internet ... take a look here ...
