My daughter's father had a child support hearing on August 21st 2008 where he was to pay a purge. I have a feeling he did not show for this hearing. This is what was posted by the clerks office and I'm not too sure what it means. Could someone please explain?

  1. An order of commitment is the judicial document authorizing the sheriff to take a person into custody and to keep him in custody.

You can call the clerk's office to see if that document is available online or for viewing in the clerk's office.  You can read for yourself what was the result of the hearing.

  2. I'm pretty sure this means that they have "filed" an order for him to be put in Jail.

  3. I think they locked him up
