An SDA High School is a school operated and run by the Seventh-Day Adventist church. These schools often accept students outside of their faith, and the curriculum reflects a christian based philosophy. The school will likely take a whole of life approach to education with emphasis on not just a good education but a healthy lifestyle too. There are SDA schools in every country that the Seventh Day Adventist church operates in, which is most countries of the world.

The nearest SDA high school to Milpitas / San Jose is Mountainview Academy (see link below)

The next nearest schools are Monterey Bay Academy, near Santa Cruz to the south, and Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy, northeast of Oakland.

Seventh-Day Adventists are a Christian religion that worships on Saturday (Sabbath) and believes in the second advent of Christ.  They take the Bible as their only source of belief (both old and new Testaments) and hold the 10 commandments are still in effect today (including the fourth regarding the Sabbath).  They take a whole-being approach to life with many members being Vegetarians or Vegans.   Adventist  High Schools would very likely only offer a Vegetarian menu in their Cafeteria (they will offer egg and milk products though).  Their schools also tend to place more emphasis on teamwork over competition.  They will also offer a wide variety of sporting and outdoor activities.
