  1. In biology, abiotic components are non-living chemical and physical factors in the environment. Abiotic phenomena underlie all of biology, but at the same time both are better forgotten in the direct analysis of life as such. More generally, the sciences concentrated on lower level explanation are better forgotten when dealing with higher level phenomena.

From the viewpoint of biology, abiotic influences may be classified as light or more generally radiation, temperature, water, the chemical surrounding composed of the terrestrial atmospheric gases, wind as well as soil. The macroscopic climate often influences each of the above. Not to mention pressure and even sound waves if working with marine, or deep underground, biome.

Those underlying factors affect different plants, animals and fungi to different extents

  2. IDK.... I have no idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  3. there's no such thing as an abiotic organism. Abiotic means 'non-living'. I believe what your project is referring to is the abiotic factors that help support life.

eg. Sun, (Break this down into light and temperature), water, wind, atmospheric gasses (important ones include: oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen), humidity, etc...

  4. Abiotic means non-living.  Abiotic factors may be what you are thinking about.  Think of non-living components of ecosystems- water, sunlight, temperature, minerals, and water.

    Biotic factors are living.

  5. Abiotic definitely means a nonliving things. examples are rocks, sun, weather, water, clouds, light, stars, ect.

  6. The only abiotic organisms are software-based.

Better re-read the question.  I bet your teacher is asking for biotic and abiotic factors in an ecosystem.

    Other abiotic factors might include:

    Light intensity at particular wavelengths

    Temperature

    Pressure

Inorganic minerals present (and you can list 'em!)

    Inorganic salts present

    Water (or not...)

Water current speed / turbulence (or wind speed / turbulence)

    pH

    Magnetic field strength and direction

Gosh, I can't think of any more.
