What is an ace in volleyball?

i play on my high school team and they havent told us. they expect us to know all this but i dont. any info would help. thanks in advance

An ace is when your serve is not returned and it scores a point.

Its when one team serves in bounds on the opposing teams court and does not touch an opposing player in the process.

An ace is where your team serves the ball and it hits the court inbounds on the floor with out the opposing team being able to touch it. But if a player on the other team does get a hand on it but it still doesnt go over the net then it is not an Ace it is just a receiving error for the other team...i hope this helps

When you serve the ball and it's so freakin' fast and accurate that no little hoochie is gunna touch it!  You score a point!  

That was my speciality in high school v-ball!  But, now I am twenty years older and can't serve overhand to save my life.

when u serve or go up to the net and slam the ball down on the other side (in) and ur opponent doesnt return it.

an ace is when u serve and score a point off ur serve. not off ur serve than score from the rally. and alot of schools have ace celebration dances so if ur really good servin the ball then practice ur dance.lol.

All the answers above are not totally right! yes an Ace is when you serve the ball in the court and a player does not return it or touch it! But if 1 player hits the ball (the ball can only be hit once) and it does not go over the net then it is still considered an ace! but teams have little cheers when a player gets an ace! For example my high schools cheer is AH A-C-E Ah ACE!! Or we have "Did you like that?" Sure did!" So yea! But Ace's are good! You want lots of them!
