ya a body board is not for skim... if u want 2 skim buy a skim board!!

Boogie boards are usually too light to throw well, and too flexible.

Skim boards should be thin with some bevel to plane above the water, with enough weight to cut through small amounts of water, and go where you throw them. Stiff enough to hold you without flexing and stopping in the water and sand.
