  1. It's a balcony located on the back of the ship.

  2. Actually, you will bounce around considerably more in rough seas, and on many ships there is substantial vibration from thrusters during docking maneuvers.  That being said, they do tend to be larger, and have a better view than side-facing balconies.

  3. It is a balcony cabin located in the rear of the ship.  If you get sea sick (but usually you want on a large cruise ship) I would get a balcony on mid ship.  If you have any more questions, drop me an email.  I have a travel agency and can help you

  4. Before I answer, understand that all ships are different.  That being said, at balcony rooms tend to have larger balconies due to the shape of the ship.  They also tend to be a bit more sought after as a result.  I have also heard from others that you may bounce around less in rougher seas, you may get some occasional exhaust from the ship, and it is usually less windy back there.  It's kind of like the old station wagons from the 80s that had the rear-facing seat.  You always get to see where you've been, and not so much where you're going.

  5. It's a room that has a balcony and is at the back of the ship.  The back is considered more stable
