I'm looking at some used cars to possibly buy, and it said it had an what is an aftermarket cd player....what does that mean?

An aftermarket CD player is a CD player that was installed after the car was purchased. Usually the aftermarket CD player will sound better and play louder. Also, the CD player may have aftermarket features, such as an aux input that will allow playback of an IPOD through your car stereo. Or it could have preamp outputs which permit installation of a separate amplifier or equalizer. Or it may already have a separate amplifier or equalizer.
