Someone who doesn't know if god exists or not, and either way they don't really care. It is pronounced ag-noss-tic.

I think there's several ways to define it, but the most simple definitions are:

1) someone who believes it is impossible to know whether or not a god or higher power exists

2) someone who is skeptical about the existence of a god or higher power.  In other words they're open to belief or disbelief if evidence were to point to one side or another

I call myself agnostic and I say that I believe in what I see, feel and experience.  My faith is in humanity.  This earth and the people on it are what I know so that's what I put faith in. Beyond that I don't think anyone can truly know anything.

An atheist is someone who KNOWS there is no god.

An agnostic is someone who THINKS there probably isn't a god, but isn't really sure.

someone who believes that ther can be a god, but still believes in the supernatural...like guardian spirits and ghost. they believ in a possibility of an afterlife, but they dont believe in the 10 comandments. I'm agnostic so i know.
