  1. Fluoxetine (Prozac) is  an antidepressant belonging to the group Selective serotonin uptake inhibitors.  Experimental scientists have not found any congenital abnormalities occuring to the fetus as a result of drugs of this group ( in animal studies)

Manufacturers advice that these drugs can be used in pregnancy if benefits outweigh risks.

A substitute for Fluoxetine should be obtained only if there is a reason why you should stop Prozac.

This you have to discuss with your doctor.

Other drugs of this group that can be taken are Citalopram, Paroxetine , and Sertaline.

Iam sure you can continue Fluoxetine (Prozac)

But please do not change on what you understand from my notes.
