  1. An altitude is a segment that goes from one vertex of a triangle  to the opposite side so that the line segment is perpendicular to the side.  And a bisector cuts something in half.  


  2. Well a bisector is the mid-point of two points.

    y2 - y1

    ----------

    x2 - x1

    For example...

    Points... (3, 5) and (2, 3)

    3 - 5 = -2

    -------

    2 - 3 = -1

    The mid-point is then (-2, -1)
