If you're into robot anime, I can't recommend Robotech enough. Its still my favorite over 20 years after I first watched it as a kid.

The Force Five robot anime series is classic as well but unfortunately out of print.

Case Closed/Detective Conan

psychological, murder mysteries

a bit similar with death note in the sense that the main character plays mind games with another character -- the perp of almost 'perfect' crimes in this context.

not much of a great plot (more episodic) overall but the individual cases/episodes are really good
