  1. answer number two is the most correct answer.

  2. An appendix horse is a mixbred horse. These breeds include the Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred. Appendix QH's can be regd. Instead of having Q-12340 their's would be A-12340ect. Bu with different numbers of course

  3. Its a quarter horse crossed with a thoroughbred. I dont think the precentage of each really matters.

  4. an "Appendix" is a Reg horse that has one parent as a TB and the other as a QH

  5. Quarter horse X Thoroughbred

I have two both are registered.

This one is 75% QH and 25% TB:

    This one is 50/50:

  6. An "Appendix" American Quarter Horse is a first generation cross between a registered Thoroughbred and an American Quarter Horse or a cross between a "numbered" American Quarter Horse and an "appendix" American Quarter Horse. The resulting offspring is registered in the "appendix" of the American Quarter Horse Association's studbook, hence the nickname. Horses listed in the appendix may be entered in competition, but offspring are not initially eligible for full AQHA registration. If the Appendix horse meets certain conformational criteria and is shown or raced successfully in sanctioned AQHA events, the horse can earn its way from the appendix into the permanent studbook, making its offspring eligible for AQHA registration

  7. Appendix is the cross between a thoroughbred and quarter horse, I have 2.

  8. I think its a breed.

    Yeah, the Appendix Quarter Horse.

  9. a TB x QH

  10. Thoroughbred Quarter Horse cross

  11. An appendix bred horse is a horse that is crossed(bred) with

a  thourobred. I know this to be a fact because I have a registered paint gelding. In his backgroun ther is an appendix bred quarterhorse.

  12. The second poster was fairly correct in their answer.

Appendix is short for Appendix Quarter Horse.  This term is applied to a horse created from breeding a registered Quarter Horse to a registered Thoroughbred.  The resulting offspring is registered by the American Quarter Horse Association as an "appendix".  That horse can be be bred to a Quarter Horse, and have Appendix offspring.  If the Appendix horse shows in AQHA, and earns its ROM, it gains "full" registry, and then if bred to a QH, the foal is registered as a full Quarter Horse, and not appendix.

But just for the sake of the argument, the easiest answer is:

Appendix = Quarter Horse x Thoroughbred
