Ive wanted to try them for a long time but my father thinks im too young but im not going to tell my age because I want your true opinion about it. I cannot stand the glasses I wear because ive been playing soccer for ten years and roller hockey for nine and they always fall off and I hate wearing them.

  1. You have to ask an eye doctor that. And as far as I know, when the eye stop growing, about when puberty begins.

  2. any age past 5

  3. I think when you are old enough to take them in and out and care for them the right way, then you are old enough to wear them.

Several of my daughters classmates wear contacts and they are 12/13years old.

  4. I would say that thats a judgement on ones maturity and responsibility level. Most of my friends started wearing contacts at about 14.

  5. I think you're old enough to start wearing contacts. I started wearing them back in my early teens.

  6. i would say about 12 would be just right because most kids are responsible to keep them clean and take them out every night like they should.

you should tell your father that they are much more comfortable than glasses and they are pretty inexpensive these days. i can get 6 lenses for each eye for $60. (thats one box for each eye so $25 a box plus tax)

also you dont have to worry about them getting broken while you are playing sports.

  7. i got contacts when i was 11 and now i'm 15 and still wearing them
