What is an appropriate outfit for a 19 month old boy for an evening wedding?

i'm sure we'll have to spend most if not all of the ceremony outside of the hall keeping him quiet, but at least he can be dressed appropriately! i was looking at "nice" clothes in his size and found some really cute dress shirt/sweater vest/dress pants combos but little else. would this be ok? i found a couple of sports jackets for $50 or so (no pants or shirt) but no suits. i can't really afford to spend that much for a kid who will likely outgrow it in a few months. what do you think? thanks!

try and rent a tuck in his size(if possible)

My first thought is pajamas, and let him stay home with the sitter.  Of course, I'm sure that he's adorable-(they are at that age!) and it would be fun to dress him up and take him.  (And let's not beat around the bush, he's a great excuse to leave as soon as the cake is cut if you're tired!)  If you're going to take him, I suggest looking on ebay or at a second hand shop for a cute outfit some other adorable child wore once to a wedding, and never wore again.  If you want new stuff, check Wal-mart, Target, The Children's Place, Gymboree, and major department stores, and focus on the sales racks.  He's not in the wedding, so he doesn't need a tux.  Just a dress shirt and pants would be fine.  Dress it up with a sweater vest and/or a clip on tie or bow tie if you want.  Blazers look nice, but they're not comfortable, and the poor child will be hot and he won't be able to move in it, so he won't be thrilled to keep it on.  Good luck, and have fun!!!

If he has a nice outfit that he wears to church or something like that just let him go in that. He is a baby no one will care.

you have the right idea,I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on it either...I think cute the shirt pants and vest will be perfect...and totally adorable!
