  1. It really depends on where you live.

$5 and up on the east coast.  As little as $2.50 in the midwest.

  2. Why should the region of the country make a difference in how much you make. I say 10 dollars an hour. It's fair and not ripping you off. If they pay you $2.50 an hour like that one person said then I would loosely watch the kid. They pay for what they get.

  3. I would say around 3-5 dollars.Depending on how many children and how old.

  4. For one child i would say 6 dollars an hour. For up to 3 kids 8-9 dollars an hour. For more than 3 kids 1 million dollars an hour cuz theres no way!!!!!!!!

  5. i usually get at least 10 dollars an hour

  6. $5.00 an hour, I used to get .50 an hour, shows how old I am

  7. That depends on so many factors:

    1. How many kids will you be babysitting?

    2.  Are you babysitting at their home or yours?

    3.  How old are you?

    4.  How many hours / days will you be babysitting?

    5.  Are you CPR certified?

    6.  Do you have any First Aid training?

    7.  How old are the children?

    8.  Will you have to do any additional duties around the house, such as vacuum, make the beds, do dishes, etc.?

  8. As others said, there are lots of mitigating factors as to how much you should get.  How many kids?  Are you also doing housework?  Are they going to be out late?

Talk to others in your area and about your age to see what the going rate is.
