What is an appropriate punishment for someone who rides their bicycle through your yard smashing your grass?

If it's your own child, tell them never do it again. If they do it again take away their bike for a day or two. If it's someone else's child, tell the child to stop. If they continue, tell the parents. Parents get REALLY upset when someone else tells them about their kids.
