Question:

What is an appropriate tipping amount for two hairdressers?

I get my hair cut by one girl, and hi/lo lighted by another girl. The cut costs $35 and the color costs between $55 and $70 (everyother time she gives me a discount...lol...whatever. i dont complain--i'll take what i can get.) 15-20% is typically what I would tip, but how should i be tipping? Do I tip each person separately even if I pay all at once? because usually I use a bank card when i pay--and include the tip on the receipt.

any thoughts?

  1. I am sure that any tip will be appropriate over 20%. Just make sure you do say thanks about the discount.,

    Good Luck x

  2. Get the same girl and tip her 15 percent!

  3. my hair cut is usually 14 and i give her 3..

but I'd bring some cash and tip them seperatley or make sure to tell the person taking your money to give so much to each girl.

  4. i always give my cutter and dyer 50 each. but the whole works is actually 300. so just give her like 15 each.

  5. I would only tip if i will be returning . You could not tip the girls a give them a hard luck story..husband..blah,blah,blah...kid..Bl... blah...You could say you got your money from your mother to get your hair done. I never tip when I eat out. A penny saved is a penny earned. And a fool and his money are soon parted. Save your money and dont be a fool.

  6. The appropriate amount to tip now is between 15 and 20%

  7. I tip at the end when I pay.  They can divide it up however they like, that way it's not my problem.
