  1. Capacitors simply store and release energy. They work by providing electrical current when the potential of the vehicles charging system drops below the potential of the capacitor. This happens if your amplifier draws more current than your battery & alternator can provide. If your lights dim when the bass hits you are using more current than is available.Your amps cannot perform as they should without sufficient power. A capacitor can help solve this problem but there are a few things to consider when choosing a power upgrade. Caps  benifit you most when the engine is on because the need to be "filled" by the alternator. They work great for providing additional current durring large bass hits but if your amp\s continously draws more current than the vehicle can supply the cap is useless. Batteries are the only thing that are benificial when the engine is off.

  2. a capacitor stores energy for when it's needed....so if you have a banging sound system and when you turn it up you might be ably to notice lights dimming everytime the bass hits...the caps stops that...
