What is an average day like for an Intelligence Analyst in the U.S military?

    Deployed: Work in the S2.  Read, summarize, and report the various intel you receive from IMINT, HUMINT, SIGINT and so forth, put together a daily summary, brief the rest of the Bn, Bde etc...  Put together target packages for bad guys.  You could also be high up (division and above) and read intel reports and ask questions about what you've read but never actually tell the guys (like me) who collected the intel if it's any good.

    Not deployed: Train, process security clearances, give threat briefings to Soldiers traveling OCONUS.  I'm sure there's more.

    When I was deployed there were times when their job looked fun and times when I was glad I did not do it.
