  1. most of the day traders end up losing...this is a fact.....

I have not seen or heard some one who is a day trader and has consistently made earnings....

  2. The worse ones (apparently the majority, but I don't know where you can find official stats) -- the ones that shudder at the question or have already failed -- lose a bunch of money.

The good ones and/or scrapers will probably average maybe 0.3% per day (consistently).

You never really hear about what the great traders make, but they are out there...  I do know some make a full percent.

I would say a good trading account is $100,000, so that 0.3%  would be $300 per day (only if consistent!).  Once you get more than $100,000 in your account, dollar gains go up but percentage gains erode a bit.

Investors will tell you its a myth, or luck, or something.  Investors don't nor ever will understand trading.

Lmao if daytraders lost several thousand dollars per day, why are they around.  No comment for people who say that..

  3. A successful day trader (or swing trader) is looking for 3-6% a month on average. It takes hard work, constant education and on average three years or more to get to that point. The vast majority of people that try.... fail.  Having said that, there are many people that have positive returns which allow them to use trading as their sole means of an income.

  4. The average day trader probably loses several thousand a day.

  5. Most day traders lose all their money. There are a few who seem to beat the odds and make some money.

  6. One that was asking tax questions here lost $47,000 so far this year.

  7. not very much?

  8. A recent article we discussed at work said that almost 99% of day tradiers fail. The $25,000 required for a deposit to be allowed to trade usually results in a minimum $50,000 loss.
