  1. Mirror glass can be cut with a glass cutter, but you must take care not to damage the 'silvering' on the back.

That can be harder than it sounds.

You might want to go to a pro.

  2. Save yourself a lot of hassle and go to the nearest glazing company toget them cut

  3. just use a standard glass cutter

  4. I used to have no joy cutting glass till I bought a Dremmel.

Now it's mark the glass with a pencil, use the glass engraving tool to cut along a steel rule guide. Take pencil and place underneath the cut. Gentle tap and it's done.

Suppose it's that easy with any other glass engraving tool.

  5. Mirrors are a nightmare to cut successfully.  Even if you get a perfectly clean edge, you often end up with some of the 'silvering' on the back of the mirror coming off.  You're best off to take it to your local glaziers, who'll cut it perfectly for a nominal charge.

  6. Don't even think of trying to cut it yourself, take to a glazier.

I had a large mirror cut into 4 smaller ones, cost £2  ( $ 4 ) worth every cent.they did it there and then, and I did'nt even have to wait.

  7. Assuming that your mirrors are made on glass, you will need to scribe a line in the glass with a glass cutter and then snap the line on an unlevel surface and the glass will break on the scribed line. do this for each line and you'll be fine.
