a plastic spoon is always practical. if you want something a little more fancy add some rubber bands, mabey a flat peice of wood or cardborad any thing sturdy. then you need a fulcrum, which could be anything really that keeps the spoon high enough off of the ground and allows the spoon to go back and forth freely. set the rubber bands and your set!

take a plastic spoon and put your projectile in it, then pull back, let go, and walah! you have a grape or something flying across the room.

I had this as a project once, i used Popsicle sticks. Or you could use a mouse trap.
