I have a BMW at the moment which burns about 13 liters to 100k's which I know is alot but I want a car that isnt slow but doesnt burn alot of fuel, anybody know?

  1. If you are driving a BMW, you probably laugh as you pass me, driving my Prius - BUT I absolutely love it.  Best car I've ever had!!  Of course, if you don't want to go hybrid, the Toyota Corolla is one of the best cars out there for service, mileage, etc.  Neither of the cars I mentioned will blow wind up your skirt like a cool sportscare, but you can't beat them on reliability and mileage.

  2. Try a fit or join ecomodders to get better gas mileage

  3. try a hot hatch if you want both speed and fuel economy.  for example, a volkswagen golf gti.

  4. Ford Focus gets 35 MPG.

I'd Highly recommend you get a pre-owned car, even if its a year old, or even 2008 if its used.  NEW cars loose Value the second you drive it off the lot.  So if for whatever reason you want to sell it, you will never get what I paid for.

Plus you save a lot of money. :)

I read the prius is one of the best cars around, and it gets like 47 MPG, Highway and around town.

honda Civic is also very good or toyota Corolla.

The Car companies are in a transitional period, cars are changing quickly.  It may be worth waiting for another car if you can.  As mileage is changing soo rapidly.  and more hybrids are coming in the next 1-2 years, even electric cars.

from what I read in 2010 there will be at least a couple new electric cars and more hybrid options.

    That's up to you.
