  2. its "electrical conduit" and it is used as a passage way for electrical wires to insure that the wires are protected from damage.  

  3. in a rigid conduit system, first you layout the conduit then pull the wires. the wires can be pulled only for a certain length depending on how many bends there are. a condulet is used to join the conduits for ease of pulling the wires. the condulet can be either a LB or a box

    the condulets mostly are made of cast aluminum. they all have female thread to adopt the conduit connection.


  4. "Condulet" is a trademark of the Cooper Crouse-Hinds company. It is a special corner fitting for joining two pieces of conduit while providing access for pulling wires around the corner.
