  1. It is a magnet quite different from others.

You can make an electromagnet by connecting the switch to your magnet.

It is a simple experiment that you can do.

You can either coil your magnet with a copper rod so that electric current passes through it.

The more times you coil, the stronger the magnet is.

The other way of creating a temporary magnet is stroking.

  2. a  live wire wound on a solid conductor acts like a electromagnet or a solenoid

  3. An electromagnet is a temporary magnet that consists of an iron bar surrounded by a coil of wire. When an electric current is passed through the coil, the iron bar behaves like a magnet. When the current is switched off the iron bar no longer behaves like a magnet.

  4. Consist of Iron and stored Electricity.

  5. I was going to answer but then I saw your Nickname and felt a cold chill up my spine... -_-...

  6. your nick... hmmm... its bugging me a lil

  7. A magnetic field generated using electricity far stronger than standard magnets

  8. a magnet that runs by electricity

  9. Any moving current(Like electricity) generates a magnetic field. A coil with current moving through it generates a magnetic field which is strongest through the center of the coil, this is an electromagnet.

In order to make this magnet stronger a ferromagnetic material(Like pure Iron) is often placed in the center of the coil, this essentially amplifies the magnetic field generated by the electromagnet.

  10. an electromagnet is a magnet which is powered by elecctricity. This alows its strength to be changed via the current of electric flows.

  11. An electromagnet is a magnetic field created by DC electrical current running through a coiled wire that is wrapped around a piece of iron.  As the electricity runs through the coil it polarizes the iron causing it to become magnetic.

Do not try this with AC house current.  You will get shocked, AC cannot travel through a coiled wire and will overheat and melt the wire.

  12. a magnet that can is turned on by passing an electrical current through a coil of wire wrapped around a metal bar

  13. Its a magnet made by electricity, charged metal and god juice.
