What is an example of a benthic zone ecosystem?

Benthic zone is a biome. I need to find an ecosystem located inside of it anywhere around the world.

  1. You could do a hydrothermal vent community.  It's on the ocean floor.


  2. Any lake or ocean bottom, the waters just above and the sediments just below.  I won't give any distances as they vary.  The zone is defined by the creatures that are adapted to life at the bottom by burying into sediment, scuttling or skimming along the bottom, or otherwise behaving differently than those in the waters above.
