What is an example of natural selection taking place in Silicon Valley and why is it being selected for?

This is a question for my Anthropology class and I'm really having a hard time answering it. any answers would be of great help but i'll keep brainstorming in the mean time.

    You'll no doubt encountered those that seem to easily understand a computer while there are others that just don't 'get it."

    Therefore, the ability to interact and control computers and software would be the required skill. Natural selection would take place by hiring only those with such skills. Theoretically, for the purpose of the question, it would follow that the children of those with such skills would have the same skills reinforced and would grow up to be hired by the same companies.Those that didn't have such skills would leave.
