  1. Someone who follows & never leads... Someone who will not stand up for themselves no matter what.

  2. In my experience it happens when someone who is p/a  is conflicted emotionally, is triggered  to express themselves (to you) by

    being soooo agreeable or accommodating

    and without their conscious awareness

    over-reacts to your response, negatively.

maybe they are jealous or something.?

So an angry, violent person can temporarily hold back their expression of negative feelings,

    then rage  or beat

then almost immediately become passive- putting you in charge.

My advice is to stand up to bullies.

They become the small worms and wiggle away.

Domestic abuse talk, called the honeymoon phase.

  3. Giving thumbs down to answers you disagree with on Yahoo! Answers. LOL

  4. You want to know the answer to that question?  I am not going to tell you !

  5. When someone disrespects you and you get angry at them instead of being calm.

  6. passiveaggresivenotes.com

  7. Saying unkind things and then saying they really didn’t mean what they said.

Acting out non-verbally by slamming doors or objects, but denying anything is wrong.

“Forgetting” to do something on purpose.

Making a habit of putting off or being late with social and/or job tasks.

Failing to do one’s share of the work or doing sub-standard work on purpose.

    Having a constant negative attitude.

  8. byanyothername is right...only it's better to say, "giving a thumbs-down to answers on Yahoo! Answers just because everyone else did"...in correspondence to being a follower.

  9. I know someone... someone very close to my husband and me...  who will needle needle needle and nitpick nitpick nitpick and drive us totally nuts until one or the other of us explodes;  then this person sits back and acts hurt, as if we were the ones who started it and she was just trying to help.  Hmmmm I wonder who that could be?

  10. My dad was passive-aggresive.  On the outside he's an extremely calm, quiet man.  He's soft-spoken, a family man, a reader, a hobbyist, etc.

Yet he pushed my mother around and smacked her in the head, giving her a black eye.

That is passive-aggresive behaviour.  It cost him his marriage.

  11. Failure to keep up with tasks at home or at work as a result of passive resistance to demands for improved performance rather than active refusal to cooperate.People may delay or "forget" to perform tasks, or be deliberately inefficient. Their ineffectiveness and unreliability prevents promotion at work and interferes with social functioning. Hidden aggression is another example.
