I need some ideas of examples of tap roots for my science project if you know any please tell me.

  1. dandelions have tap roots.  That's why they're so difficult to pull up, because the roots go down so deep into the ground.

    Carrots and parsnips also have taproots; that's the part that we eat.  If you see the plant above ground, it is quite small compared to the size and depth of the root.

    Marigolds and clovers are two examples of the many plants that have fibrous root systems.


  2. tap roots are kind of roots that store nutrients and food for the plant... unlike fibrous roots, tap roots are thick and fleshy like parsnips, dandelion, carrots...
