    Masala Chai:

    4 whole cloves

    2 cardamom pods

    1 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces

    3 cups water

    1/4 inch fresh ginger

    1/8 tsp black pepper

    2 cups milk

    2 tbsp. sugar

    2 Tbsp. strong tea

    Directions:

    Add spices, water, ginger and pepper and bring to a boil. Simmer on low for 5 minutes. Add the milk and sugar to the pan and bring to a boil again. Add tea and bring to a boil again. Strain it into a warmed teapot or directly into teacups

    Spiced Chai:

    2 1/4 cups water

    1 stick cinnamon

    4 cardamom pods

    4 cloves

    1 cup milk

    3 tsp. sugar

    2 tsp. strong tea

    Directions:

    Add spices, water and bring to a boil. Simmer on low for 5 minutes. Add the milk and sugar to the pan and bring to a boil again. Add tea and bring to a boil again. Strain it into a warmed teapot or directly into teacups

    Green Cardamom Chai:

    2 1/4 cups water

    2 cardamom pod, whole, split

    1/4 inch fresh ginger

    1 1/2 cups milk

    4 tsp sugar

    2 tsp strong black tea

    Directions:

    Add cardamom, ginger, water and bring to a boil. Simmer on low for 5 minutes. Add the milk and sugar to the pan and bring to a boil again. Add tea and bring to a boil again. Strain it into a warmed teapot or directly into teacups

    Plain Chai:

    4 cups water

    1-2 whole cloves

    1 stick cinnamon

    1-2 cardamom pods (cracked open)

    Directions:

    Bring these to a boil; let stand as long as possible.

    Then add: 4 tsp. loose Assam Summer Tips for a strong robust flavor. and let steep.

    Then add: 2 cups milk to the tea-spice mixture and heat but do not boil. When hot, strain and add: 4 tablespoons of sugar (or a little less) Stir and keep hot.

  3. for the perfect cup of chai:

    ingredients:

    milk....water... sugar.... teabags...spices; 2 green cardamon pods/ or 1 black cardamon pod, 1 clove, a pinch of fennel seeds, 1/2 of ground cinammon, 1/2 ginger powder

    boil half cup of water with half cup of milk (add more water if u dont like it milky) in a saucepan. add ur spices and simmer.... once it comes to the boil add ur teabag (1 teabag to 1 person)...... simmer again for 5mins bring to the boil again

    strain it through a little sieve into a mug... add sugar to taste

    if u like ur tea spicer just add more ... also these spices are optional add as few or as more as you like.

    you can also get chai masala from asian shops .. they will have all the spices ground up into a powder which is also good if you can not get the spices.

    1. take half cup of water in an pot

    2. put in a  tea bag, crushed ginger and sugar as needed (crushed cardamom into the water, optional)

    3. boil the mixture for about 3-4 minute based on preference of strength

    4. pour half cup of milk into it

    5. again boil for a few minutes

    6. pour into a cup

    **Very simple. ENJOY!!

    boil abt 3/4 cup water really well...add tea leaves (red label brand) abt 1/2 a spoon (u can add more if u want ur tea to be strong)...

    let this boil and when it boils some water will evaporate....now add 1/2 cup milk and sugar acc to taste...let it boil and ur tea is ready!

    Optionals: some cardamom ( add it in water when it is boiling)

    or ginger...or holy basil leaves...

  7. EASY Masala Chai

    1-1/2 cups water

    1 inch stick of cinnamon

    2 cardamom pods, crushed

    2 whole cloves

    1 cup milk

    4 tsp. sugar (or to taste)

    3 teaspoons any unperfumed loose black tea (Assam or Darjeeling are best)

    Put 1-1/2 cups water in saucepan. Add the cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and bring to a boil. Cover, turn heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the milk and sugar and bring to a simmer again. Throw in the tea leaves, cover, and turn ff the heat. After 2 minutes, strain the tea into two cups and serve immediately.

  8. take 2 cups of milk,2 1/2 cups of water,2tsp of tea leaves(preferably black),few ginger slices,few stems of lemongrass,a few mint leaves(or you could use 1 or 2 drops of mint essence) and 4tsp sugar.

    combine all the ingredients in a pan and bring to boil and simmer for a few minutes.stain and serve hot.
