Can someone help me here with this question, i have just finished learning what a pyramid technique is in writing, but have now been asked what are the advantage of the inductive technique for a speech. Only problem is i can't find anywhere that tells me what an inductive technique is. Any help will be appreciated.

  1. "tehnique"?

you won't pass ENG1001 with spelling like that! ha ha

  2. The inductive technique of exposition doesn't start with a thesis, it starts with a question.  For example, "Should Paris Hilton continue to wear skirts without panties?"

Then it tries to answer the question by weighing the positive and negative arguments that support or refute it.  So on the one hand, while Paris Hilton's pxssy is pretty gross [negative], showing it off does create jobs for tabloid photographers and thus stimulates the economy [positive].   Furthermore, in general it seems like a certain segment of the population would be happy if everyone did it [positive], even though some individuals may not be as desirable [negative refuted by positive].  Then, the expository essay or speech ends with its thesis or conclusion.  In this case, the argument is titled towards, "Paris Hilton should wear skirts without panties," but you could easily rearrange it to support the opposite claim.
