What is an inexpensive farming business to get into that will generate a good income?

Im looking for something that you dont need tons of acres to do but you will still have to work the land and be outside. Also something that you can live off of.

I can think of only one thing but it is illegal in almost all parts of the world.  

In any area it is not illegal, you could get shot by one faction or another in turf wars.
